This issue occurs when the computer no longer talks to the printer.
Please perform a self-test first, the self-test will ensure that the printer is working
- Unplug the USB cable from your computer
- Ensure there is enough paper fed into the printer
- Press and hold the button wait for 2 beeps then let go
- Wait for the self-test to complete
If the self-test works you may proceed with the steps below.
Please perform the following:
- Turn the printer off and unplug the USB cord
- Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences
- Click Printers and Scanners
- Right-click (or Control + click) anywhere inside the Printers window, and then click Reset printing system
- Click Reset or OK.
- Type your username and password if prompted, and then click OK
- Turn the printer back ON and plug the USB cable in.
- In the Printers window on the Mac, click the Add (+) button
- Click the + button, and choose Beeprt BY-426.
- Next, click Select Software...
- In the search bar, type LeftHans2.
- Choose LeftHans2 Printer and click OK.
- Click Add to finish the setup.
If the issue persists, please continue with the advanced steps below.
- Click on the Finder icon in the Dock.
- Choose the Go menu and then Go to Folder.
Paste each of the paths below into the text box, one at a time. At each location, look for files that say lefthans2 and drag them to the Trash.
~/Library/Cache
~/Library/Preferences
~/Library/Logs
~/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Containers
~/Library/Printers
~/Library/Printers/Printers/PPD/Contents/Resources
Once you’ve checked all those folders and dragged all the files you can find to the Trash, empty the Trash.
Reset the printing preferences again and add the printer.
