How to Generate a Shipping Label

Modified on Thu, 08 Jun 2023 at 04:06 PM

Please note:
Most commerce channels like PayPal, Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, and eBay will offer their labels in a 4x6" size. Please see https://support.lefthans2.com/support/solutions/folders/151000446709. The following instructions are for those not using those platforms.

When generating a shipping label from an online portal (like Canada Post, FedEx, UPS, etc.) you are usually given a standard 8.5" x 11" page to print, which makes label printing quite a chore.
With the LH-560 Thermal Printer, it’s easy! Once you have the PDF file open, just use this handy tip from Adobe to print the label on your label printer.
This tip will work if you are using your printer sparingly. However, if your needs require printing many labels at a time, you would likely need an online service that will consolidate your shipping labels into one place online and then generate your labels quickly and easily.

Our personal favorite is Shipstation, which works in Canada as well as in the USA. Shipstation offers a free 30-day trial and plans start at USD $9.99/month. With Shipstation, you can print 4x6 labels using your online accounts with Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, UPS, DHL, and many other carriers. Another similar option is Shippo - there is no monthly fee; they charge $0.05 per label.
